Prescription Drugs to Skin Care Problem
Lot’s of people take prescription drugs to try and cure their skin problem, in my opinion this must be a last resort. Prescribed drugs for acne, have had a bad reputation over the last couple of years. Some drugs have been proven to cause short term problems for the user, these include Gastrointestinal irritation and problems for bone and tooth development in the babies of expectant mothers.
Oral contraceptives have also been proven to cure the skin by slowing down the Sebaceous glands, this can be a long term cure for many women, however these types of prescription drugs are not advisable for women who smoke, have blood clotting problems and women aged over 35.
In some really bad cases, where cysts have occurred, Corticosteroid Injections are used, to help relieve the pain and help reduce the chance of scarring, which can occur to some patients, this injection helps promote healing in the affected skin area.
Overall, acne is not just a young adults skin problem, it can occur throughout the whole life of some people. Their can be cures for some people, those being natural or non natural remedies. Home remedies are a great way of helping the skin without the short term or long term affects that can be caused by prescription drugs and injections.
